Hello, Iām Grace.
I was born and raised in the middle of nowhere in Morocco and still love drinking mint tea, reading Middle Eastern poetry and eating all of the spicy foods. I earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Exeter in England in French and Arabic languages. I moved to Seattle in 2006 and completed my Masters in Counseling and Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology soon thereafter. I have experience in both group and individual counseling in a variety of settings including schools, the foster care system, inpatient, community centers and universities. I have spent several years working in the community with parents of young children and teenagers and I am passionate about supporting others in this hard stage of life .As someone raised overseas I have a heart for pastors and missionaries, I provide a safe space for them to tend to their own soul work. My approach to counseling is strength based and client-centered. I hold the belief that every person can grow with support and kindness. I use education around attachment and neuroscience to help parents and others understand themselves and their behavior. I believe that we all need spaces where we can be fully human and move away from the many pressures we put on ourselves. I am currently based in beautiful rural Cornwall and am only working remotely. In my spare time I endeavor to learn and put into practice what I am preaching to my clients as I have four school-aged children of my own . I love to be in nature, traveling and/or reading a good book.
